Exciting Opportunity: Lead ED Nurse Practitioner Join our team at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, NJ—serving the highly desirable coastal communities of Beach Haven and Long Beach Island (LBI).
Qualifications: Minimum of 1-2 years ED experience or Urgent Care NP experience, NJ license preferred or in process
Responsibilities:
A. Site Related
Serve as liaison between APPs and physicians
Collaborate with physician leadership on staffing, shift structure, and scheduling
Share updates and coordinate meetings with HR, Medical Director, or APP team
Attend department and regional/national APP leadership meetings
Manage or support scheduling, time-off requests, contracted hours, and payroll accuracy (if no site scheduler)
Participate in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
Oversee APP scope of practice, performance, and workplace interactions
Assist with internal issue resolution
Conduct performance reviews
Support billing education and clinical improvement with Reimbursement/QA Directors
Participate in disciplinary processes and corrective action plans
Help develop local APP guidelines and policies
B. Envision Related
Lead APP-related projects with physician leadership, hospital administration, APP Regional Director, and Envision leadership
Coordinate regularly with the APP Regional Director on site operations and issues
Attend Envision APP Site Director meetings
