A new fellowship located at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center is looking for talented candidates to prepare for the next phase of their careers: a role in leadership in medicine.
HMH and Envision have collaboratively developed the Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program. The program is aimed at bridging the gap between clinical practice and leadership by providing future hospitalist leaders with the skills necessary to integrate clinical care at the bedside into strategic decision making.
The goal is to shape emotionally intelligent and socially integrated future leaders that will serve HMH whether employed by Envision-contracted sites or non-Envision contracted sites. The initiative, which is looking to select a single candidate out of the field, is led by Mohamed Bakr, M.D., MBA, FACP, CPE, who is the vice president of hospital medicine - East Region for Envision, as well as an attending physician at Jersey Shore.
