We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Medical Director to join our growing Pediatric Hospital Medicine Team team at Medical City Children’s Hospital. As a key leader in a high-acuity, high-volume tertiary care center, you’ll work alongside a supportive team that values clinical excellence, innovation, and mentorship.

- Partner with the Regional Medical Director to enhance clinical quality and operations
- Support physician onboarding, education, and development
- Help shape department strategy and culture
- Foster collaboration with nursing, hospital leadership, and subspecialists
- Maintain a clinical role with flexible scheduling options

What We’re Looking For:
- Board-certified in Pediatrics
- Leadership experience or strong leadership potential
- Passion for pediatric hospital medicine
- Commitment to quality, safety, and teaching
Position Profile:
- PHM fellowship welcome, but not required
- Daily census: 20-30 shared by two physicians + APP in summer months and 30-50 by three physicians + APP in winter months
- Physician 12-hours day shift covering unit across physicians from 6a to 7p
- Team participates in rotation of paid home-based support night call to APP team
- Outstanding pediatric subspecialty support; 24/7 in-house specialists in PED, PICU and CVICU

Facility Information
Medical City Children’s Hospital is the flagship children’s hospital of the large network of Medical City Hospitals. The hospital is a 254-bed, award-winning, pediatric healthcare facility, delivering specialized pediatric care. It boasts a 37-bed pediatric med-surg unit supported by a PICU and CVICU with a robust ECMO program. The hospitalist group works alongside exceptional subspecialists in pediatric surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, neurology, nephrology, pulmonology, ENT, cardiology and infectious disease. The site also operates a full-service pediatric ED with board-certified PEM physicians and pediatric hematology-oncology program, in addition to a psychiatric hospital with dedicated pediatric services. Located on the same campus, Medical City Dallas includes a Level IV NICU and adult hospital, making it the only hospital in the DFW metroplex to offer comprehensive care for all ages including, women and infant services under the same roof.
