Envision Healthcare is seeking a dynamic Associate Residency Program Director in Anesthesiology to serve across HCA Florida Westside Hospital and HCA Florida Northwest Hospital. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of anesthesiology education while working within two respected institutions in South Florida.
We are looking for a dedicated Associate Program Director and Research Director that will have primary clinical responsibilities at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital (Margate, FL). The Associate Program Director is responsible for overseeing the organization, administration, and evaluation of the anesthesiology program, particularly at Northwest hospital, in conjunction with the goals of the program and the Program Director. This role requires a strong background in both clinical and academic anesthesiology. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and training residents, prior research involvement that includes recent publications, and a commitment to continuous learning and development within the field of anesthesiology. HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is the secondary site for the residency program. The Program Director has primary clinical responsibility at the main residency site, HCA Florida Westside Hospital (Plantation, FL). Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the anesthesiology residency program: Ensuring residents receive high-quality education and practical experience.
Creating and managing the curriculum: Developing and implementing educational experiences and assessment processes.
Fostering a positive learning environment: Providing constructive feedback, support, and intervention when necessary.
Monitoring resident progress: Ensuring residents have the required experience with procedures, diagnostic, and therapeutic methods.
Participating in medical procedures and training: Directing patient care and training other medical staff.
Collaborating with medical staff and administrators: Ensuring departmental goals align with overall hospital objectives.
Involvement in research: Leading or contributing to studies and scholarly development. Overseeing resident and faculty scholarly activity for the entire program.

Facility Information
HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation is a 296-bed facility that offers a case load of General, Orthopedic, Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, GYN, ENT, Urology, Spine and Intracranial Neurosurgery. In addition, there are active programs of anesthesia delivery outside the OR, including the cardiac catheterization lab, electrophysiology lab, MRI and interventional suite with neuro and interventional vascular procedures.
HCA Florida Northwest Medical Center is a 289-bed full-service community hospital conveniently located to serve residents of Coral Springs, Parkland, Coconut Creek, Margate and Deerfield Beach. Northwest offers comprehensive in-patient and out-patient medical and surgical services and has maintained its commitment to meeting the changing needs of the community by developing and expanding services to provide residents and patients with the utmost medical care. Northwest Medical Center offers medical and surgical programs including open heart surgery, 24-hour Adult and Pediatric ER, maternity, orthopedics, pediatrics, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, heart and vascular, weight loss surgery, rehabilitation, and women’s services.
