An Envision partner facility in the Southwest
The ED at this facility faced challenges with which other rural and community hospitals are familiar, mostly related to clinical recruitment. Envision worked hand-in-hand with hospital administration and ED staff to identify consequent throughput hindrances, including length of stay (LOS), door to qualified medical provider (QMP) times and left without being seen (LWBS) rates. The collaborative team identified three opportunities to enhance overall quality at this ED: recruitment and training, workflow construction and data insights. Focusing on these areas, Envision was able to help the facility make substantial improvements to patient experience and throughput.
