Chief of Anesthesia — $100K Start-Date Bonus, 17 Weeks Off | HCA Florida JFK Hospital Where You Will Have Dedicated Admin Time With No In-House Call
Envision is seeking a Chief of Anesthesia to lead an established, high-performing team at HCA Florida JFK Hospital — a 460-bed acute care facility between West Palm Beach and Boca Raton, recognized among the best hospitals in the nation for quality and patient care.
This is a true leadership role with the time and support to do it well: dedicated administrative time is built into the position, and the clinical practice underneath it is one most anesthesiologists would choose on its own merits.
The opportunity, up front:
-$100,000 start-date bonus
-$20,000 relocation bonus
-Leadership stipend and bonus
-Modifier bonus paid out semi-annually in addition to base compensation
-17 weeks off annually
-Non-call options available
-Dedicated administrative time for leadership duties, not squeezed in around a full clinical load
-Anesthesia care team of 18 physicians and 25 CRNAs
-Approximately 18,500 cases annually
-No OB, no pediatrics, no trauma
-No in-house call
-9 physicians rotate backup call, and callback is rare
-1:9 weekend coverage
-Mix of medical direction and performing your own cases
-Nighthawk for overnight coverage
-Dedicated cardiac team
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Chief will:
-Build and maintain a strong, qualified care team of anesthesiologists, CRNAs and CAAs.
-Supervise departmental staff, with ongoing evaluation of anesthesia skills and job performance.
-Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and manage relationships with surgeons, medical staff, hospital administration, OR leadership and the anesthesia team.
-Partner with the facility to provide leadership in the management of Perioperative Services.
-Establish and maintain policies and procedures for the conduct of anesthesia care, including follow-up care.
-Integrating best practices and standards of clinical care into departmental practice.
