Carmen Pla serves as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of Envision Healthcare. With a distinguished career spanning more than three decades in healthcare, she is a strategic leader and expert in revenue optimization and operations.
Before assuming the CRO role, Carmen served as Envision’s Senior Vice President of Revenue Cycle Operations, overseeing revenue collections for the organization’s Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine and Anesthesia service lines. Prior to joining Envision, Carmen served as the National Vice President of Revenue Cycle Services at Pediatrix Medical Group (formerly MEDNAX) and as the Vice President of Revenue Cycle at Accretive Health. As the Vice President of Revenue Cycle at Jackson Health System in Miami, Florida, Carmen was pivotal in leading revenue operations across the system’s five hospitals and outpatient clinical operations and the organization's transformation. She previously held leadership positions at Tenet Healthcare.
Carmen earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration from Capella University. She currently serves as an adjunct professor at Florida International University.
