Envision submitted formal comments to CMS, advocating for sustainable Medicare reimbursement for clinicians and access to high-quality care for patients.
Ahead of the Sept. 9 deadline, Envision submitted formal comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding the 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule (MPFS). Our comments focused on several key proposals affecting our clinicians and patients, including:
- Concern regarding the proposed cut of 2.8 percent (2.1 percent for anesthesia) to the Medicare conversion factor, especially considering the continued strain placed on clinicians by the existing economic and healthcare industry environment.
- Support for sustained and more permanent patient access and utilization of telehealth services.
- Advocacy for a patient’s right to seek and receive the level of care they deem most appropriate given their symptoms.
- Proposed improvements to the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) that emphasize high-quality patient outcomes.
Envision takes very seriously its responsibility to provide patients high-quality care and create healthier communities. We are committed to working with other provider groups, medical societies and policymakers on long-term solutions that improve Medicare reimbursement by appropriately awarding clinicians and groups that prioritize value, quality and patient access to care.
