At the beginning of May, more than 190 Envision clinical and clinical support teammates embodied Envision’s values of caring deeply and embracing teamwork by giving back to the Dallas/Fort Worth community and the USO. The team created 580 hygiene kits for active-duty U.S. military members as they learned about the many ways everyone can support service members.

“It was rewarding to take part in an event to help the USO provide much-needed personal care items to traveling service members,” said Dr. Stephen Mitchell, Medical Director of ENVOY, HCA American, Atlantic and National Group Operating Units at Envision. “The USO holds a special place in my heart. It has provided support for me on countless occasions during my military career. I am forever grateful to them, not only for what they have done for me but also for so many American military members and families. I will continue to support them by volunteering my time and with financial donations.”

The kits included toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorant, combs, razors, soap and washcloths, and handwritten letters of thanks and encouragement. The USO Dallas/Fort Worth, which is focused on supporting the well-being of those serving in the U.S. military and their families, will distribute the kits.

“Your donation helps provide support to dozens of military members and families traveling through our USO Centers and the bases we support,” said Christin Dixson, Center Ops Supervisor at the USO DFW, following the event. “Since 2004, USO Dallas/Fort Worth has provided rest and relaxation to traveling service members as well as provided support to our local military community. It is because of our generous donors that we are able to provide these important services.”

The event was organized in partnership with Impact 4 Good.

“From these personal items to overseas and deployed location outreach programs, military member and spouse transition programs, travel respite locations, the USO canine program and troop entertainment, the USO provides so much in support of our military troops,” Dr. Mitchell continued.
