The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has communities on high alert, and Envision Healthcare’s more than 25,000 clinicians are leading efforts to care for patients and support our organization’s hospital partners through the implementation of clinical best practices.

The health and well-being of patients and clinicians are our priority. As information on the coronavirus evolves, we will continue to evaluate our response and work with healthcare system partners to provide patients in communities across the nation the highest quality of care.

Envision Healthcare - #HealthcareHeroes

We are drawing from our shared clinical expertise from past responses to viruses, such as the flu and Ebola.

We are following guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

If patients are suspected of having COVID-19, we will isolate them immediately to minimize the risk to others, notify the local and state health departments and move forward with appropriate testing.

By trade, our more than 11,000 emergency clinicians who support the nation’s healthcare safety net have undergone extensive training on how to treat viral infections.

We are able to mobilize rapidly and allocate resources to support changes in patient volumes and communities’ needs.

We are guiding and supporting the implementation of hospital protocols as well as coordinating with local emergency medical services and government agencies.

We can fill in any potential gaps in knowledge among hospital staff and answer patient questions.
